Book Power
I can not recall where I’ve read this and who wrote it, and I won’t be able to quote it word for word for you but here it is. “There is no difference between a person that can not read and a person that chooses not to read.” As a child I was very athletic and books didn’t amuse me as much as they do today. As much as I wish they did, I enjoyed playing sports and having fun with my friends. Today I wish there was more day light to burn so that I could get all my readings done. You see with my “study” material on the go; my “personal growth” books on the go and others, there just isn’t enough time to read all the great books out there. The wiser I get the more passion for learning I have, it seems like less time I have to spend reading all the great literature out there. As much as I love learning, I’ve learned one thing for sure and that’s how to manage my time better. As I’ve recommended books to family and friends in the past it always seems to amaze me when I hear the words “Is this book worth it?" I can honestly say I've never read anything that didn't enhance my knowledge in some way. Instead of watching something useless on television for an hour a day, unless it’s the discovery channel, pick up a book and read. People consider those who read a lot of books “well read” but they don’t consider those who spend a lot of time in front of their Plasma with a remote in their hand “well viewed”. Grow, evolve, learn and expand your self.
