Figure Champion (Canadian Classic 2007)

Congratulations to Carla for entering her first ever figure competition and winning it! This weekend I was in Toronto with one of my participants who competed at the IDFA's Canadian-Classic Figure Championships. I remember when I first met Carla and she had told me that she wanted to compete in a figure competition. Just over a year later she entered her first competition and walked away with the first place trophy!

Carla you worked so hard, I hope you enjoyed the journey and had fun up on that stage! If anybody deserved to win that competition it was you. I'm proud of you!

Now... if you think that Carla is done, think again! I've never met anyone as committed and dedicated as she is. Carla is definitely a special breed, she did not only win her first competition ever but is also competing this weekend at the 2007 Ottawa & Eastern Ontario Physique Championships. This is our transition week, she's looking great and is ready to go. Two weekends, two competitions, will she walk away a champion this weekend? Stay tuned!

Hope to see all of you there this Saturday, and make sure to cheer for Carla!

Special Thank You goes out to my friend Mike Demeter from Toronto who helped me out a lot with Carla's last few weeks leading up to her first competition. Mike taught me a lot about last minute contest prep, nutritional protocols, and training. Thanks Mike, couldn't have done it without you! - Ruslan
