Attainable Goals



The how to guide

I say, enough with the verbal abuse; I say, enough with the negative thoughts. Stop telling yourself “I can’t do this”, “I can’t do that” and “I’ll never be able to do that”. Start setting realistic and attainable goals for yourself. For example if its fifty pounds that you want to loose, loosing fifty pounds may sound unrealistic at first, so what do you usually do? You shoot for it and you fail but why did you fall short? Simply, the bar was set too high. You made an attempt to get over it and you failed; now you don’t have the motivation or the desire to keep going, so you give up! Why don’t you start with setting a ten percent goal for the time being? Start off with five pounds, since that is what your ten percent of fifty pounds actually is. Now it sounds realistic and possible! Let’s get started! Once you have achieved this goal you will feel successful and highly motivated to keep going because you are now ten percent closer to your “outcome goal”, which in this case is fifty pounds. It’s very important to find success in everything that you do, because if you don’t see success and only see the struggles and the battles you will stop whatever it is you’re doing and give up. It is very important not to get caught up in the numbers game and to set realistic goals for yourself.
